Tina grew up an only child in Redmond, Washington raised by two Microsoft engineers. Consequently, software development was a normal topic of dinner conversations. While her parents were careful not to push her, they were proud when she chose to follow in their footsteps.
In the beginning of The Cendovian, Tina was a teaching assistant in Professor Richard Nelson's advanced programming classes. While pursuing her doctorate in computer science, she also worked full-time at Richard's company, Warp Drive Games. She and James led this small company in its development of CombatRidge.
An easy going person by nature, Tina was surprised to find a tension arise between herself and Victor during his first semester of college. That tension created many awkward encounters between the two as their paths continued to collide. Despite her calm demeaner, Tina remained haunted by a devasting loss from her past that continued to have ripple effects on her future. These circumstances further hardened her loyalty to Richard and Pari.
